On November 23, 2022, the staff at Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on James Street in Syracuse served up a tasty traditional Thanksgiving meal for the residents there that included fresh turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, cornbread rolls, and you cannot forget that pumpkin pie. The Recreation Department, led by Director Tammy Shoales, coordinated and decorated the holiday event, and the kitchen staff made all the food.

Servers from various departments in the buildings also volunteered to pitch in to create a family dining experience for the residents. Staff from the Administration, Therapy, Nursing, and Business offices all joined in to create an overall team effort for the residents.
